Free Google review QR code generator
Paste the review link from your Google Business Profile and Codeshed makes a QR code that opens Google’s review form straight away. Style it, add a “Leave a review” label and download SVG, PDF or PNG to print. It is free, needs no account and the code never expires.

Get your review link
- On a computer, sign in to your Google Business Profile at business.google.com.
- Open Read reviews, then Get more reviews.
- Copy the link. It usually looks like
https://g.page/r/…/review.
Google shows a plain QR code on the same screen. Use Codeshed when you want a code in your own colours, with your logo and a “Leave a review” label, that prints sharply at any size.
If you know your Place ID (it starts with ChIJ), paste that instead and Codeshed builds the review link for you. A Google Maps link is not the same thing: it opens your listing, and customers then have to find the review button themselves. That is why the studio asks for the review link and tells you if you paste a Maps link.
Where to put it
- By the till or on the counter, where people wait for a moment with their phone in hand.
- On table cards and menus in cafés and restaurants.
- On receipts, invoices, delivery notes and thank-you cards, so customers can review once they are home.
- In emails and on your website, a plain link is easier than a code: paste the same review link.
Stay within Google’s rules
Google removes reviews, and can restrict a profile, when businesses break its rules for reviews. In short:
- No rewards. Do not offer a discount, freebie, prize draw or payment for a review, or for changing or removing one.
- Ask everyone. Do not invite only the customers you expect to be happy, or discourage negative reviews.
- Real customers only. Staff should not review their own workplace, and you should not set staff targets for reviews or ask for particular wording.
Printing it so it scans
- Allow about 1 cm of code for every 10 cm of scanning distance: around 3 cm on a table card, and 20 cm on a poster read from 2 metres. How big should a QR code be? has the details.
- Dark code on a light background, with a clear white border around it.
- Use the SVG or PDF for print shops, and scan a test print before you print many copies.
How to make one
- Open the Google review code in the studio.
- Paste your review link or Place ID.
- In step 3, choose Card with label: the label reads “Leave a review”, and you can change it. Then download SVG, PDF or PNG.
The code holds Google’s own link, so it never expires and works without Codeshed. If your review link ever changes, make a new code.
